Jubilee of World Mission

The Jubilee of World Mission is a moment of extraordinary importance within the Jubilee of Mercy, proclaimed by Pope Francis in 2015. This special event is dedicated to all those who dedicate themselves to the Church’s mission of evangelization, spreading the Gospel throughout the world.

During the Jubilee of World Mission, meetings, seminars, and liturgical celebrations focused on the theme of mission and evangelization are organized. These initiatives provide missionaries and pastoral workers with the opportunity to share their experiences, reflect on the challenges and opportunities of mission today, and renew their commitment to proclaiming the Gospel.

This event is also an opportunity to celebrate the contribution of missionaries to the spread of faith and the promotion of social justice and solidarity among peoples. The sacrifice and dedication of those who have left their homes and communities to bring the message of hope and love of Christ to the remotest and neediest places in the world are recognized.

The Jubilee of World Mission testifies to the Church’s commitment to continue the mission entrusted by Jesus Christ to the apostles to proclaim the Gospel to all nations. Through this event, the Church invites all believers to renew their missionary commitment, courageously and joyfully witnessing to the faith, and being witnesses of hope and mercy in a world in need of love.
