Jubilee of Workers

The Jubilee of Workers is a moment of recognition and celebration of the fundamental role that work plays in the lives of people and communities. This event, embedded in the context of the Jubilee of Mercy proclaimed by Pope Francis in 2015, aims to valorize work as a means of personal fulfillment and contribution to the common good.

During the Jubilee of Workers, meetings, conferences, and moments of reflection on topics such as dignified work, social justice, and solidarity among workers are organized. These initiatives provide workers with the opportunity to share their experiences, discuss the challenges they face in the world of work, and promote concrete actions to improve working conditions and ensure the dignity of every individual.

This event is also an opportunity to recognize and appreciate the contribution of workers in all spheres of social and economic life. It celebrates the daily toil, dedication, and commitment of workers in every sector, from agriculture to industrial production, from services to healthcare, from education to culture.

The Jubilee of Workers testifies to the Church’s commitment to defending the rights of workers and promoting a culture of work that values the human person above any economic interest. Through this event, the Church invites everyone to work together to build a more just and solidarity society, where each individual can realize their potential and contribute to collective progress.
