Jubilee of Movements, Associations, and New Communities

The Jubilee of Movements, Associations, and New Communities is an extraordinary event within the context of the Jubilee of Mercy proclaimed by Pope Francis in 2015. This special moment is dedicated to celebrating unity in diversity among the ecclesial movements, lay associations, and new communities present in the Catholic Church.

During the Jubilee, meetings, assemblies, and prayer moments are organized, providing members of these movements and associations with the opportunity to share their experiences of faith, reflect on their mission, and renew their commitment to serving the Church and society.

This event is also an occasion to celebrate the charismatic diversity within the Church and to recognize the valuable contribution that movements, associations, and new communities offer to ecclesial life. The importance of fraternal communion and collaboration in proclaiming the Gospel and promoting social justice is reaffirmed.

The Jubilee of Movements, Associations, and New Communities testifies to the Church’s commitment to promoting the active participation of the laity in the Church’s evangelizing mission. Through this event, the Church invites all members of movements and associations to continue on their journey of faith, joyfully and devotedly witnessing to the values of the Gospel in their everyday lives.
