Jubilee of Consolation

The Jubilee of Consolation is a significant spiritual event within the context of the Jubilee of Mercy, proclaimed by Pope Francis in 2015. This special celebration is dedicated to those who seek comfort and hope in times of trial and suffering.

During the Jubilee of Consolation, a series of activities and meetings are organized aimed at offering spiritual support and comfort to those facing difficulties and pains in their lives. This includes moments of prayer, confession, reflection, and testimonies of faith, all aimed at renewing trust in God’s promises and finding inner peace through divine consolation.

This event offers a precious opportunity for those feeling distressed or despairing to renew their faith and find comfort within the ecclesial community. It is a time of spiritual healing and inner renewal, during which one opens oneself to God’s grace and embraces His merciful love.

The Jubilee of Consolation is also an occasion to reflect on the meaning of suffering in the Christian life and the promise of hope and salvation offered by Jesus Christ. It is a time to share one’s experiences of pain and trial, but also to bear witness to God’s consoling presence that strengthens and accompanies in difficulties.

This event testifies to the Church’s commitment to caring for the weakest and bringing comfort to those who suffer. Through the Jubilee of Consolation, the Church invites everyone to recognize God’s loving presence in their lives and to find hope and consolation in His infinite mercy.
