Jubilee of Confraternities

The Jubilee of Confraternities is a significant event within the context of the Jubilee of Mercy proclaimed by Pope Francis in 2015. This special celebration is dedicated to confraternities, lay associations dedicated to prayer, charity, and the promotion of Gospel values within communities.

During the Jubilee of Confraternities, various confraternities from around the world come together to share their faith, devotion, and commitment to the common good. Processions, prayer meetings, training sessions, and exchanges of experiences are organized, all aimed at strengthening the fraternal bond among members and renewing their commitment to the Church’s mission.

This event provides confraternities with the opportunity to celebrate their spirituality and witness their dedication to the Christian life. It is a time of recognition and gratitude for the valuable contribution that confraternities bring to the life of the Church and the promotion of social justice and solidarity.

The Jubilee of Confraternities is also an opportunity to reflect on the challenges and opportunities facing confraternities in today’s world. It is a time of discernment and conversion, seeking to renew the spirit of service and love for God and neighbor.

This event testifies to the Church’s commitment to value and support the work of confraternities, recognizing their crucial role in the spiritual and social life of communities. Through the Jubilee of Confraternities, the Church invites all the faithful to renew their commitment to the Church’s evangelizing mission and to fully live out the values of the Gospel in their daily lives.
