Jubilee of Catechists

The Jubilee of Catechists is an event of great importance in the context of the Jubilee of Mercy, proclaimed by Pope Francis in 2015. This special moment is dedicated to catechists, those who are devoted to teaching and spreading the Christian faith in ecclesial communities.

During the Jubilee of Catechists, a series of initiatives are organized to celebrate the crucial role of catechists in the formation and religious education of the faithful. This includes training sessions, conferences, workshops, and prayer times, all aimed at strengthening the faith and commitment of catechists in their mission.

This event provides catechists with the opportunity to share their experiences, deepen their knowledge of the faith, and receive support and encouragement from the ecclesial community. It is a moment of gratitude and recognition for their valuable contribution to the life of the Church and the spiritual growth of the faithful.

The Jubilee of Catechists is also an opportunity to reflect on the deeper meaning of the catechetical mission in the Church. Catechists are called to be living witnesses of the faith, joyfully and enthusiastically transmitting the Gospel values to future generations and guiding others on the path of salvation.

This event testifies to the Church’s commitment to supporting and honoring the work of catechists, recognizing their importance for the spiritual growth and religious maturity of the faithful. Through the Jubilee of Catechists, the Church invites everyone to recognize the value and significance of religious education in the life of the ecclesial community.
